Asalamo Alykum,

The twin blasts in Karachi on the 3rd March, 2013, are condemnable beyond words. Although it is an old strategy of the non-Muslims against Muslims, yet it is despicable once again beyond words.

These sudden blasts targeting the Shia sect among Muslims is a desperate attempt by the receding forces of Afghanistan; they are desperately clicking on the sectarian screen of Pakistan hoping for a civil war to break out which would give them a political reason and opportunity to intervene and intercede and then either disintegrate Pakistan or at least denuclearize it. The coming two years are thus crucial for them and for us since they are to leave Afghanistan by the end of 2014.

Mr. Rehman Malik is just comfortably blaming everything on religious groups without giving any proof, because it is comfortable to blame everything on them. If it is the religious groups, why cannot he stop them? If he cannot, why does not he resign? Admitted that the religious sectarian groups are prone to sectarian violence, but usually there is an issue which triggers the violence. What sectarian issue has taken place over the last year for these sectarian killings to take place?

The truth is that his government is trying to cover-up their horrendous error of issuing visas to the notorious Blackwater and the likes of them and now do not know how to handle the situation. The Ministry responsible for issuing visas to foreigners is responsible for all these political, sectarian and civilian deaths.

I request the Supreme Court to issue notice to the relevant departments and take preventive and proactive actions to avoid these shootings and blasts.

Wsalam,
