Not Love, but Death at Sight

The popular phrase used to be love at sight, but now it seems that as we will witness more court hearings for the Missing Persons, there will be more deaths at sight triggered due to shock and heartache of the family members.

Ms. Rohaifa, mother of three sons, one of whom was killed earlier on, and two were produced in court on Monday, Feb 13th, 2012, had the shock of seeing her two sons in a miserable condition after years as Missing Persons. The pain was too much for her. She died the next day.

I have no more words to comment on her sad death, but my heart is filled with remorse and a fear of the following Hadith,

Narrated Ibn Abbas,
The Prophet sent Mu'adh to Yemen and said,
"Be afraid from the curse of the oppressed, as there is no screen between his invocation and Allah."
[Al-Bukhari, Vol.3, N. 628]

The entire Pakistan, politicians, judiciary, media, human rights NGO’s and the public as well are answerable because we all are silent spectators or mild protestants upon this grave inhumanity.

Criticism of Defence of Pakistan Council is Unjust

Many are criticizing the Defence of Pakistan Council attempts on the pretext that leaders of banned organizations are participating in them officially.

I will first of all ask, ‘What is the criterion of banning any organization in Pakistan?’

As far as I know, Hizb-ul-Tahrir (www.khilafah.com) is also ‘banned’, while it is only an ideological Islamic group with no military wing. When such peaceful organizations become banned, the authority issuing the ban loses its credibility.

Some so-called banned organizations might be guilty of extremism and wrong line-of-action regarding sectarianism, but I am sure their loyalties regarding the defence of Muslim land are very straight. They do not pocket any dollars upon its compromise.

Also, people are questioning and mocking the need of organizations to vow defence of Pakistan while the government, political parties and army are still in place.

Well, can anybody comment as to how come drones have been allowed to hit our North-West border since 2004, ‘Blackwater’ foreign agents are freely roaming our streets, countless citizens have been sold to America upon demand, and Wikileaks has revealed the consent of our authorities (except a named few) upon these atrocities.

Why then, individuals, groups and organizations not come forward seeking the defence of Pakistan and its nation, especially when it is the hunch of some that the November 26 killings will also be eventually compromised and Pakistan-US unwanted partnership restarted?

Army should be Allowed to Provide Security to Mansoor

Rehman Malik expressed great contempt for Mansoor Ijaz’s statement that he was not satisfied with the state-provided security.

Rehman Malik should remember that Benazir Bhutto had also been provided security by the state. In fact, Rehman Malik himself was in charge of security for Benazir Bhutto. So what happened to her?

I request the Supreme Court to allow the army to provide security to Mansoor Ijaz in his trip to Pakistan to testify for the Memogate case. I feel that they have a right to do so since Mansoor Ijaz is their testimony.
