Go, Go, Go for Finger-Print Testing

Asalamo Alykum,

Hamid Mir’s Capital Talk, GEO on May 15th discussed the issue of fraudulent polling detection and both the guests, leaders from PML-N and PTI, agreed upon the method of finger-print replication identification. This progress is very good.

I would strongly suggest that not only replication of finger-prints should be identified, but the identity of the person whose finger-prints are duplicated should also be identified. This can easily be done from NADRA records.

Election rigging detection is compulsory for voters to trust the voting system in future and not resort to some other method of being heard.

Asalamo Alykum,

“O believers! Let no men laugh at other men who may perhaps be better than themselves; and let no woman laugh at another woman, who may perhaps be better than herself. Do not defame through sarcastic remarks about one another, nor call one another by offensive nicknames. It is an evil thing to be called by a bad name after being a believer, and those who do not repent are the ones who are the wrongdoers.”

It serves the Pakistanis right for cracking jokes about the ‘stupidity’ of the Pathans.

Today, Allah Almighty has shown us that the Pathans are very intelligent. They have been wise enough to choose an intelligent, brave and radical leader to take them out of their ten-year-old crisis, while the rest of Pakistan is still immersed in the darkness of racism, vested interests and thoughtlessness.

Well done, KPK voters…

Asalamo Alykum,

May Allah Almighty bless Sir Imran Khan with a speedy recovery and make him stand back on his feet ever energetic than before, Ameen.

Here, I would like to appreciate Mian Nawaz Shareef’s sportsmanship as he showed genuine concern for Sir Imran Khan after his accidental fall from the election campaign dais. Mian Nawaz Shareef and his daughter, Maryam Nawaz, called him in person to inquire about his health and wish him a speedy recovery.

I also appreciate the PTI leadership for immediately and publically acknowledging Mian Nawaz Shareef and other political leaders’ concern for Sir Imran Khan’s injury.

Although I am a convert supporter from PML-N to PTI and JI, and am a great admirer of Sir Imran Khan, nonetheless I have been hurt and disappointed, on a principle basis, by the tirade of attack on Nawaz Shareef by Sir Imran Khan. Jibes like calling him a circus-lion and likewise are very hurtful and beneath the level of Sir Imran Khan.

Since Sir Imran Khan was a national cricket hero, he must have been Mian Nawaz Shareef’s hero too. It must be hurting for him to be called names by a person who he himself had admired for a long time.

Do campaign and make your party strong, but please also be cordial with each other. PML-N, PTI and JI, all three are basically rightist parties with some differences here and there. Please unite and alliance if you have to after the elections and do not let this country be devoured by the seculars and atheists.

Asalamo Alykum,

PTI, JI and PML-N are requested to withdraw their nominees from the electoral seat of NA-250 in honor of Ms. Fouzia Siddiqui so that she wins a clear victory against Pervaiz Musharraf.

May Allah Almighty bless you for your strategic and noble move, Ameen.

Comment: PTI and Fun

Asalamo Alykum,

One of the reasons that PTI is so popular with the youth and progressive-minded people of Pakistan is that PTI gatherings are very juvenile, fun-filled and lively.

However, PTI must remember that music is undisputedly forbidden in Islam. It can easily and most appealingly be replaced by Nasheed singing accompanied by the Daff and other melodious sound effects. A very good example of such ‘music’ is by a British, Islamic band, Shaam.

We all like listening to Abrar-ul-Haq, Shahzad Roy and all the other singer supporters of PTI. However, we get very disturbed and double-minded because of the music inclusion.

I know PTI would not like to lose its music-lover supporters, but we, the religion-oriented have a right over PTI too. On the other hand, the most important clause is PTI’s own manifesto statement,

“Only thee we worship, and only thee we ask for help.” [The Holy Quran, (1) Surah Al-Fateha, Verse 5]

The magnificent and increasingly popularity of PTI is by the Grace of Allah Almighty. PTI must not forget the Islamic values as it advances in its growth and power.

Nasheed entertainment, and it will be another cool tradition set by PTI.

Asalamo Alykum,

It has been reported in the newspapers that the Shahzeb Murder Case has taken an ugly turn as one of the eye-witnesses has taken a u-turn, most probably under threat and pressure, and has not identified the key culprits and formerly accused, in an identification parade.

The Prime Minister, Parliament and the Supreme Court are requested to legislate and employ Lie-Detection machines during criminal investigation and declare its results as Legal Evidence in the courts.

Please do not let the death of Shahzeb Khan and countless others be in vain.

Asalamo Alykum,

I am extremely surprised to read the survey report of British Council Pakistan on Youth & Democracy in Pakistan reported @ http://dawn.com/2013/04/02/generation-next-goes-to-the-polls-a-survey/

I always thought that the majority of Pakistanis viewed themselves as secular and non-religious. I am surprised to know that it is not so, for the report shows the greatest percentage of people view themselves as religious and in favor of Shariah ruling. Wow!

Then for what reason is JI unable to secure sizeable seats in elections? Perhaps, it is partly rigging and partly fear of an austere version of Shariah implementation. I say so because I have met many ‘religious’ families in my life with varying degrees of Islam practice. Every family or individual consider themselves to be at the correct, balanced degree. They do not want to step right or left of their understanding of Islam. Hmmm, this is complicated.

Perhaps we need to realize that any version of Islam would still be better than the current feudalism, corruption and anarchy. Alternatively, people have a brilliant new choice in the form of PTI. It is Islam-oriented and very progressive.

Now, I also realize why I had the wrong perception about majority Pakistanis being secular and non-religious. I guess it is because of media rigging. It is my personal experience that when I post pro-Islamic comments on articles online, more than half the time they do not get printed, while every kind of secular comment is up there. It means some media outlets are creating false impressions by filtering public comments. This is journalistic dishonesty.

Well, to all of my pro-Islamic friends out there, now you have a great choice between PTI and JI in the upcoming elections. Do not sit home and you and your friends, go for them!

Asalamo Alykum,

With all this hue and cry over Article 62-63 of the constitution, we have to but remember you for you are the one who highlighted the neglected clauses. Many of us did not even know about their existence.

The corrupt are definitely running around yelping now with their tails down. And their equally corrupt supporters are raising nonsense so-called critical thinking as to how can a person judge another person’s piety? Really? What do you do when you seek a match for your daughter in marriage? What do you do when you are looking for a business partner? What do you do when you hire staff for your office? Are there no parameters by which one attempts to assess a human being’s piety, honesty and character? Article 62-63 of the constitution are definitely on!

However, I have one plea to make to you, Sir. Since all your demands were not met, and you consider the ECP to be non-constitutional, consequently you have announced to boycott the elections. Of course, your followers will obey you. However, that will be a deep blow to Pakistan. Most of your supporters are expected to vote for either PTI or JI. The boycott will only strengthen the secular’s vote bank. Your Islamabad Long March Declaration has already caused enough stormy waves in the political sea. We all thank Allah Almighty for it, so please comprise with the given situation and allow your followers to cast their vote.

Asalamo Alykum,

Ms. Fouzia Siddiqui, you could not have come up with a more brilliant move than standing against Musharraf in the upcoming elections. It sure will be a sweeping victory, InshAllah, and a very sweet revenge (although not enough).

I often thought how could Mushurraf be so naïve as to return to Pakistan. I now understand that Allah Almighty has His own wise plans. Hopefully, Musharraf has come home to face his ultimate humiliation in these elections.

As a Muslim, I like to forgive and seek forgiveness for every human being. However, Musharaf is one very cruel and a hundred minutes hard-boiled egg, the way he stands adamant upon his criminal governance decisions. May Allah Almighty give him Guidance, else may he face the severest of retribution in this world and the Hereafter.
