Malala and Ahmed

This is shocking, terrible and unbelievable. Although I am a pro-Taliban, but I am aghast and outraged at what they have done, provided it really was them. Malala, I am so sorry and I hope you survive and not die. I am glad for the support Imran Khan and the government has announced for you. I know this is not the time to sniff for conspiracies, but I remember how the media went hoarse when the Swat video filming a women being lashed was released in 2009, prior to the Peace Deal with Taliban. That video played a key role in turning public opinion against the peace deal and ultimately resulted in the Swat Military Operation. Months later, it was 'quietly' reported on the media that the video was fake and had been specially filmed and released by an anti-Taliban NGO. The NGO's head went out of the country to avoid backlash. Sometimes I also feel that the advisor to Taliban or someone with a strong foothold amongst them is an American agent with a deep knowledge of the Quran and Sunnah, for Taliban sometimes do acts which are extremely harmful for the Muslim cause but they justify them technically with references to the Quran and Sunnah. This was just the kind if incident which America has been waiting for to justify to the world their use of drone attacks in north-west Pakistan and to press Pakistan for a ground operation in North Waziristan. I hope this event now is not a 'Foreword' for operation in North Waziristan. Its timing is strange; it has happened just after Imran Khan's anti-drone march to Waziristan, and the discussion picking up on drone attacks. I would be so sorry if the great girl Malala is being used as an icon by any side. However, what I find ironical is that USA slams attack on a 'child', while they themselves kept Aafia Siddiqui's seven-year-old son, Ahmed, chained up for five years, such that his feet bones are deformed today. And Aafia Siddiqui still lies rotting, and sometimes hemorrhaging with forced abortions in their jails, while they failed to find evidence against her. In her comparison, is Yvonne Ridley, who came out of the Taliban custody unscathed, untouched and later converted to Islam. I do not understand how the same Taliban can do this to Malala. May Allah Almighty grant Malala health, education and Guidance, Ameen.

Three Outstanding Points of Imran Khan's Peace March to Waziristan

Imran Khan’s voice has international recognition and was joined by the international media and activists. Imran Khan is trusted by and represents both, the religious and the secular. Imran Khan was able to motivate people from all over Pakistan and every walk of life to go to Waziristan with him as opposed to having local and political attendants only.

Imran Khan, Damn if you Do, Damn if you Don't

PTI is being criticized for not reaching Waziristan. Had they forced their way through, they would have been accused of violence and clashing with the state. Since they have remained peaceful and positively compromising, they are being accusing of backing out. This is what is called; damn if you do, damn if you don’t. Let it be noted that it is PTI’s reputation of being smartly daring that even women, along with their children, are willing to attend his demonstrations and seminars at the most strategic places, including their anti-drone rally blocking the NATO supply-lines route in Peshawar, back in April 2011.

NATO Restart is like an Addict Resuming Drugs...I Condemn

We have become addicted to foreign aid, loans and handouts. We just cannot bear to live without them even if it is at the cost of our lives and self-respect. Pakistan should have completely disassociated itself from this bloody war-on-terror, saying 'We do not have public support for it'. I strongly condemn the expected restart of NATO supply lines.

Salman Rushdie You Ridicule Imran Khan, should I Ridicule You Back?

Salman Rushdie, first you ridicule Islam, then God-knows-what-else and now Imran Khan. Should I ridicule you back?

No, you are not worth even that. Spat.

Foxish Refusal to Write to Swiss

I am ashamed to see the smirk on our Prime Minister’s face, who I thought was better of the PPP lot, as he is irrationally playing around with the constitutional law and exhibiting the character of foxish Bani Israel mentioned in the Holy Quran.

I suppose the PPP think it is funny and smart at the same time.

Somebody else please, Leader of the Opposition, NAB or the Supreme Court itself, may write to the Swiss authorities and make sure it is conveyed seriously so that it is thoroughly investigated by the Swiss authorities as well.

And somebody please finish this ridiculous immunity theory, if any. Let it be noted that anybody who supports this immunity theory stands in contempt of Islam, because it is the ruling of the Prophet Muhammed SAW that even if the Prophet’s own daughter Syedna Fatimah RA would have been caught in theft, her hands would have been cut off.

PML-N, Mixed Marathon and Weak Emaan

What a weak faith in Allah Almighty to facilitate a mixed marathon just to attract the youth to your side in competition to Imran Khan?

Allah Almighty will give victory to PML-N after Allah Almighty has been defied?

Shahbaz Shareef, you speak of establishing Nizam-e-Muhammadi-Arabi in your revolutionary speeches, so can you imagine Prophet Muhammed SAW alive amongst us today and girls and boys stupidly running a mixed marathon? What ‘right’ do girls achieve by running in a mixed marathon except for providing an opportunity for sleazy men to ogle and grapple?

I Salute Iran for its Bravery

I salute Iran for its bravery.

Iran was being threatened upon its nuclear program by international trade sanctions. Before the threats could be brought to life, Iran itself has cut-off oil supply to England and France.

Bravo! Well done. Iran has as much right to becoming a nuclear power as any other country, especially since it has not dropped any atomic bombs on any two cities and caused mutations and abnormalities for generations who were yet to be born.

Iran should concentrate on trade with Muslim countries and friendly non-Muslim countries.

Eleven Terrible Terrorists

I saw a television report about the famous eleven ‘alleged terrorists’, who had been released by the court in 2010 but who were re-picked-up from outside the court on the same day and transported to an unknown location. They were finally produced on the orders of the Supreme Court on Feb 13, 2012, while four of them were dead now due to torture.

The report referred to them as extremely dangerous terrorists.

Well three of these extremely dangerous terrorists, sons of Ms. Rohaifa, were book-sellers whose books were found from the ruble of the demolished Jamya Hafsa.

Can you imagine how dangerous they were?

Imran Khan Takes On So-Called-Liberals

In a media interview, Imran Khan condemned the political opinion and influence of the so-called-liberals of Pakistan who have shown support for drone attacks, crushing the Taliban and welcoming monetary foreign aid in lieu of it. Imran Khan stated that they are not actually ‘liberals’ but liberal fascists and are the scum of Pakistan.

Some of the liberals were totally taken aback by this taken on, as they are not used to being called the scum of Pakistan. They consider themselves the cream of Pakistan. The scum of Pakistan, according to them, are the ones in beard and abaya.

Well said Imran Khan. Carry on fearlessly exposing the liberal fascists, who have a severe superiority complex and are not used to criticism upon themselves.

Not Love, but Death at Sight

The popular phrase used to be love at sight, but now it seems that as we will witness more court hearings for the Missing Persons, there will be more deaths at sight triggered due to shock and heartache of the family members.

Ms. Rohaifa, mother of three sons, one of whom was killed earlier on, and two were produced in court on Monday, Feb 13th, 2012, had the shock of seeing her two sons in a miserable condition after years as Missing Persons. The pain was too much for her. She died the next day.

I have no more words to comment on her sad death, but my heart is filled with remorse and a fear of the following Hadith,

Narrated Ibn Abbas,
The Prophet sent Mu'adh to Yemen and said,
"Be afraid from the curse of the oppressed, as there is no screen between his invocation and Allah."
[Al-Bukhari, Vol.3, N. 628]

The entire Pakistan, politicians, judiciary, media, human rights NGO’s and the public as well are answerable because we all are silent spectators or mild protestants upon this grave inhumanity.

Criticism of Defence of Pakistan Council is Unjust

Many are criticizing the Defence of Pakistan Council attempts on the pretext that leaders of banned organizations are participating in them officially.

I will first of all ask, ‘What is the criterion of banning any organization in Pakistan?’

As far as I know, Hizb-ul-Tahrir (www.khilafah.com) is also ‘banned’, while it is only an ideological Islamic group with no military wing. When such peaceful organizations become banned, the authority issuing the ban loses its credibility.

Some so-called banned organizations might be guilty of extremism and wrong line-of-action regarding sectarianism, but I am sure their loyalties regarding the defence of Muslim land are very straight. They do not pocket any dollars upon its compromise.

Also, people are questioning and mocking the need of organizations to vow defence of Pakistan while the government, political parties and army are still in place.

Well, can anybody comment as to how come drones have been allowed to hit our North-West border since 2004, ‘Blackwater’ foreign agents are freely roaming our streets, countless citizens have been sold to America upon demand, and Wikileaks has revealed the consent of our authorities (except a named few) upon these atrocities.

Why then, individuals, groups and organizations not come forward seeking the defence of Pakistan and its nation, especially when it is the hunch of some that the November 26 killings will also be eventually compromised and Pakistan-US unwanted partnership restarted?

Army should be Allowed to Provide Security to Mansoor

Rehman Malik expressed great contempt for Mansoor Ijaz’s statement that he was not satisfied with the state-provided security.

Rehman Malik should remember that Benazir Bhutto had also been provided security by the state. In fact, Rehman Malik himself was in charge of security for Benazir Bhutto. So what happened to her?

I request the Supreme Court to allow the army to provide security to Mansoor Ijaz in his trip to Pakistan to testify for the Memogate case. I feel that they have a right to do so since Mansoor Ijaz is their testimony.

Hussain Haqqani Should be on the ECL, Not on a Flight to America

Perhaps the Supreme Court got offended that Mansoor Ijaz refused to come to Pakistan for testimony despite security assurances. The Supreme Court is requested to take into consideration that Pakistan is a country where high-profile people like Akbar Bugti, Benazir Bhutto and supposedly Osama bin Laden have been killed despite tight security whether their own or of the state. Hence, it is not surprising that Mansoor Ijaz feared his life.

I personally feel that the Memogate is very much true, and if it is true and if such plans get implemented in the future, neither the Supreme Court, the Army and nor the government officials will suffer any harm for they move around in security protocols and have the means to leave the country anytime. It is us, the public, the common man who would suffer legalized aggression, terrorism and infiltration of foreign agents and agenda within our homeland.

With due respect, the Supreme Court has been unable to get the government to write a letter to the Swiss government. How does the Supreme Court expect Hussain Haqqani to appear before the court when ordered and the fact that he will not disappear into the blue?

Allowing Hussain Haqqani to go out of the country and to America is very discouraging and dangerous for the future of Pakistani politics and encouraging to treacherous elements within it.

The Supreme Court is requested to review its decision, call back Hussain Haqqani before he disappears for good and put his name on the ECL.

First Asma Jahangir, Now Aitzaz Ahsan

Aitzan Ahsan, we were definitely besotted with your sincerity, bravery and vision when you used to recite your revolutionary poem and you dared to lead the Restoration of Judiciary Movement in 2008/9.

The anticlimax came when you opted to defend President Zardari soon after and said that the President enjoyed immunity against criminal charges. And now you are going to defend Prime Minister Gilani for not writing to the Swiss authorities to investigate corruption charges.

What’s wrong, sir? Did we make a mistake? Did we read you wrong for your virtuousness? You think that President Zardari is above Syedna Fatima binte Muhammed (Peace be upon him), for whom the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said that even if she commits theft, her hands will be cut off?

Memogate Injustice worse than Insanity

Dawn, January 16, 2012: “Finding Husain guilty of treason is like finding democracy guilty of treason,” says one US analyst.

After reading the above statement, my vocabulary has failed me and I am looking for a word that describes a mindset worse than insanity.

How can the American senators and scholars give any argument in favor of Haqqani’s clear treason? Worse, they are attempting to label ISI Chief Shuja Pasha for treason because he sought to verify the Memogate allegation on his own. What else was he supposed to do? Seek permission from a government who is supposed to be the culprit itself in the Memogate issue? What would have been the “democratic reply”? ‘Ahan! So you have found out that we were committing treason against the country. Very good. Yes, please go and investigate about our attempt…’

And where is the balance of accusations for treason? One side is being accused of calling upon a foreign country against the country’s armed forces to protect one’s political seat. The other is being accused of trying to verify this allegation without “permission”. Are there any balancing scales in the world which can even remotely make any balance between these two allegations under Article 6?

Hilary, what about Democracy in Saudi Arabia?

Ms. Hilary Clinton has said that they strongly stand-by the democratically elected government of Pakistan. Ms. Hilary Clinton has said this in the background of the Memogate proceedings.

I would like to ask Ms. Hilary Clinton why America has never bothered to preach democracy to the Saudi Kingdom and other Middle East dictatorships who have been bosom buddies to America and served their agenda well?

Rehman Malik says we have only Five

Rehman Malik has said that only five PPP members have benefited from the NRO while there are others in it from other political parties.

Only five? Rehman Malik, it is not about quantity only, it is about quality as well. It depends what those five have done and then gained immunity upon it. Corruption, murder and treason; these are offences of varying temperature and need to be dealt with in a proportionate magnitude.

Dancing to Death

I am not being judgmental nor am I being condescending. I feel extremely sorry for my three sisters who died in the concert at Al-Hamrah Art Center, Lahore, and pray that Allah SWT have mercy on them and rest their souls in peace, Ameen.

As our youth is going through a much-wanted social and political awareness, I would request them to seek religious awareness as well. Study the Quran and Hadith and know your religion. Be informed as to what you should be doing and what not, for the following Hadith disturbed me very much when I heard the news,

“As you die, so shall you rise...”.

Military Courts or Not

Mian Nawaz Sharif is being slammed from almost every direction upon his comments about military courts. The debate is whether military courts are a solution or not in the face of non-functional civil courts. This non-functionality could be due to the courts themselves being corrupt, or the surrounding mafia harassing it into non-functionality.

What upsets me is that people take on a very aggressive tone whenever the word ‘military’ appears anywhere, but speak in easy, flippant tones about the loopholes of the other institutes of the state.

I feel that it is very easy to talk about ideal systems when the little boy who was raped and murdered was not your son.

Military court or civil court, I would like to see justice happen. Justice is much more important than the name of the court!

Asma Jahangir Disillusioned Me

I had great respect for Asma Jahangir. I thought that despite the fact that she is a secular and I am religion-oriented, we still had a common goal otherwise; human rights for all, struggling against oppression and being patriotic.

I was shocked to learn that Asma Jahangir had decided to defend Hussain Haqqani in the Memogate scandal. I really hope Asma, that you truly believed him to be innocent and did not choose to defend him just because he belonged to the secular lobby.
