After all that, losing Cricket really does not matter

The timing of Raymond Davis's release and the World Cup set matches seem to have been match-fixed.

It would have been sorrier if Pakistan had won. For we would have started celebrations and celebrated for weeks while the real issues of our life remained forgotten.

Families of Fahim and Faizan are still 'missing'. 15% sales tax is to be further implemented from the 1st of April. Kashmiris continue to struggle for freedom and face persecution. And the list goes on.

Looking for success in games while being a total loser in real-life issues seems like a cruel and self-delusive joke.

Mass Congregation Prayers for Pak-India Semi-Final World Cup 2011?

While the act of holding congregation prayers for cricket would play a positive role towards improving the image of Muslims worldwide, yet its turnout is a wondrous and sad reminder for many of us.

It seems as if we as a nation are all sensitive to victory and defeat in games, but are eerily insensitive to the real issues of the world and Ummah today.

There is no congregation prayer call or attendance upon drone attacks, missing persons or the day Dr. Aafia Siddiqui was sentenced to eighty-six years of imprisonment.

PML-N's involvement or lack of involvement in Davis's case?

PML-N members are continuously giving statements that PML-N had nothing to do with Raymond Davis's release. The criticism by the public is not about involvement but about lack of involvement in establishing justice in Raymond Davis case.

When the Punjab government was dissolved in February 2009, the PML-N did not stay uninvolved. They took to the streets and the success of the Long March for the Freedom of Judiciary 2009 is attributed to the passionate involvement of PML-N.

Sadly and ironically, Mian Nawaz Sharif chose to be on the Musallah when Dr. Aafia Siddiqui was being sentenced on September 23, 2011. And he happened to be on a hospital bed when Raymond Davis was being released.

Does PML-N still claim to be lions?

Why protest agreed upon drone attacks?

I fail to understand this sudden official protest upon drone attacks. Are we not clear that these drone attacks have been sanctioned officially? Then why the protest? Are we trying to mislead the nation as in the Raymond Davis case or are we just being funny?

March 16th Blackens after Glorification

March 16th had been glorified in the recent history of Pakistan as the Day of Restoration of Judiciary.

Today, after two years, Raymond Davis, charged of murder of three Pakistanis, carrying illegal weapons and spying within Pakistan, has mysteriously been released by the Lahore High Court on the very celebrated March 16th.

The Pakistani nation has been betrayed by its defendants.

Prove publicly that Politicians and others pay taxes

Prestigious, reputable and strong financial audit agencies like Fergusons or any other, should be allocated the task of auditing the financial activity of politicians, bureaucrats and all other hotshots. Its report should be published annually and publicly in newspapers right after the tax-collection month to prove that they also pay taxes.
