Asalamo Alykum,
Sitting in the dark in this time of the night, I am
thinking, what must Khan be thinking …
Is he sleeping ? Can he sleep ? Is he sleepless ?
Is his bed comfortable ? Is his room cool ? Is he safe from
insects and mosquitos ?
What must he be thinking ?
And then I think about Aafia Siddiqui …
She has been away from her children …
She has been physically, mentally and sexually abused …
She has been humiliated and taunted …
Her face has been burnt and her front teeth broken …
Its been twenty years …
You remember the movie Titanic, in which they send out the
distress signal up in the sky from the sinking ship …
We all need to send up the distress signal as well … an SOS
… to express our distress to the world …
An SOS signal is three short flashes and three long flashes
and three short flashes again … with a mobile or flashlight !
At midnight inbetween the 13th and 14th
August, we can send out SOS signals for fifteen minutes, 11:45-12:00 and madly
flash the sky for another fifteen minutes, 12:00-12:15 …
Let the world satellites communicate our stress and distress
and suffering to the rest of the world …
We, the people of Pakistan, are in severe distress … since
one and half year … perhaps because we forgot about Dr. Aafia Siddiqui …
Struggle for real independence in Pakistan and for the
return of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui. The return of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui will ensure the
return of PM Imran Khan … in sha Allah !
